We believe in unions for all. 

All workers deserve dignity and a voice on the job, including union staff. 32BJ knows that workers prosper with a union; unions improve workplaces, industries, and communities. That’s why we fight every day to uplift workers, and win contracts which guarantee them respect, dignity, and job security. Staff Union members are proud to unite and call upon 32BJ leadership to bring these values home to our workplace. 

We want to empower staff to feel heard and respected. We are asking 32BJ to put workplace democracy into practice and let our organization become a true ‘democratic organization of workers.’ In winning a strong say in the decisions that affect our work, and negotiating a contract in good faith guaranteeing job protections, benefits, and fair compensation, we will strengthen our fight for strong, family-sustaining union jobs for all workers. 

As staff from across all the union’s departments and districts, our work is vital to the functioning of this union and key to 32BJ’s role as a leading force in the labor movement. We know that practicing workplace democracy and exercising every worker’s right to organize will further empower 32BJ and the membership we serve proudly. 

We call upon 32BJ leadership to embrace the values of the labor movement and respect our right to organize. When we fight, we win! ¡Si se puede!
